The UK’s first chocolate egg was produced in Bristol by Frys in 1873. Two years later, in 1875, their competitor Cadbury's made their first Easter Egg.

It’s said that Cadbury’s now make around 500 million Creme Eggs every year!

Did you know that tonight, Wednesday, 25th January, is Burns Night which marks the birth of the famous Scottish poet Robert Burns and celebrates his work and that a glass of whisky is traditionally drunk to host the haggis – so cheers!

First day back in the office and first meeting booked for 10.00am – hitting the ground running!

At Anglesey Abbey Winter Garden today – loved the white birches that looked like something out of a Klimt painting.

While in London today visited an amazing historic pub – The Cittie of Yorke in Holborn - worth a visit if your in the area.

Learnt, to my delight, that a box of my cards was sent as a thank you present to one of the curators at the world famous Hermitage Museum in St Petersburg, Russia and that he found them "enchanting". Feeling honoured and well travelled if only by proxy!

Builders in today doing repair work on the gable end wall with my office out of bounds for close to 2 weeks. Thank goodness for portable technology.

Lucky enough to be taken to a VIP day at Woburn Park today which gave me the opportunity to get so close to many of the animals. Daren't even say how many photographs I took!

The Wilberforce House Museum, Hull

In Hull today and loving some of the amazing buildings in the Old Town. This is a picture of the Wilberforce House Museum.

We are so lucky with the free museums we have in London – spent a nice afternoon at one of them, the Museum of London, today.
